We are excited to introduce, in partnership with Weston Soccer Club, a new joint club soccer program, WarCats. This new offering will be comprised of professionally coached teams playing in the NECSL starting this fall, with practices and home games here at home, in Weston and Wayland, with teams composed solely of Weston and Wayland players.
All players must be enrolled in Wayland Youth Soccer's traditional program, the signup is on the homepage. The WarCats is a supplemental program for those kids who voraciously would like more soccer.

ACL INJURY PREVENTION TRAINING SESSION
Saturday, June 2nd
4:30-6:00
Town Building Field
Our trainers:
Liz McQuilkin
A long-time Wayland resident, youth soccer coach and college & adult player, Liz works for MA State Soccer Association and is on the National Women’s Soccer Development Committee. Liz has several US Soccer Coaching Licenses, is part of Positive Coaches Alliance, is Safe Sport Certified and has led ACL & injury prevention training such as “The Beautiful Project”.
Buffy Peznola
Buffy is a trained physical therapist who graduated from UMass Lowell and found her passion for PT in the outpatient orthopedic setting. Buffy has spent her entire career working with sports injuries and focusing on injury prevention. In collaboration with Mass Soccer (and together with Liz), Buffy provides training for youth and adult sports teams on ACL injury prevention.
This is an important topic for everyone! Did you know that ACL injuries are one of the most common (and serious!) forms of injuries for female soccer players? Further, that 3 of our WHS players are currently working through recoveries from ACL tears? The session will offer suggested stretching techniques, conditioning exercises, and strength training to help keep our Wayland players healthy as they continue in the sport.
This event is a fundraiser for the WHS Girls Soccer program. We are kindly suggesting donations of $25/player and $40/WAYS coach. Please Venmo @Todd-Rainville noting the name of the participant(s) in the comment section. We will have a simple waiver to sign on June 2.

We stand in support of our Jewish community members, now and always.
Anti-semitism has no place in our programs and town. As youth organizations, we reaffirm a zero tolerance policy for anti-semitism. Sports have the power to bring people together, transcending cultural, religious and ethnic differences. We are committed to ensuring that our athletes, and programs, remain a platform for unity and mutual respect. We will seek out opportunities to propagate inclusivity within our community. Together, let us continue building a community that is reflective of the values we hope to instill in ALL of our players.
